Unique and award winning (BRaIN "Best Pro Mountain Bike Shop 2012" and "NBDA 2013 Top 100") in the mountains of Topanga seeking a part-time professional mechanic. The position will start at several days a week but could evolve from there. We are a mountain/touring full service shop just minutes from the trails and a short drive from LA. We are looking for someone who not only possess a wealth of bike and mechanical knowledge, but, is outgoing, enthusiastic and willing to interact with customers. Our mechanic stand is located outside under the oak trees and is usually the first point of contact for customers. Duties will include but aren't limited to: repairs and tuneups, assisting customers with demos and rentals, fork and shock rebuilds, helping part-out custom builds, assistance on the sales floor, etc. We are a very small shop and don't carry the big brands (Trek, Specialized or Giant). While we are looking for a mechanic, you will be much more than a wrench and will participate in almost every facet of a small business.
